Monchique is located 50km west of the airport at Faro, and 15km north in the mountains. Cabana dos Rouxinois is situated 3km above Monchique approximately one hour and a half from the airport and half an hour from the coast.
A hire car is essential though and can be arranged by our local representative.
Sadly much of the Algarve coast, once famous for its beauty, has been spoilt by a proliferation of ugly development, however, at the Cabana dos Rouxinois we are very fortunate as the surrounding area of Monchique has changed little over the last thirty years.
The nightingales are still our only neighbours, and every room has a wonderful view down to the sea. |
