July and August can be very hot, but because the Cabana is 1,500 ft above sea level, seldom oppressively so.
June and September are probably the perfect months, especially for those keen on their suntan.
March, April, May and October are less reliable. It can still be hot enough to warrant a high factor cream and should be perfect for golf and tennis, but there will be more rain than on the coast. The wild flowers in May are wonderful.
December, January and February should still be perfect for golf and walking and a great deal warmer than the UK, although you would be lucky to get no rain.
The house is well equiped for winter and off season rental and there are big open fires in the sitting room and master bedroom. The house has central heating, with radiators in every room and all the beds have electric blankets. The swimming pool can be kept warm with the heating and a cover at night. |
