Directions from Faro airport to Cabana dos Rouxinois & Monchique
Proceed out of the airport for 2.5kms, then follow the sign to Portimao – IP1 (not Faro). Take left fork over bridge to join the en. 125, direction Portimão – Lagos. Continue following signs for IP1 for 8kms. at junction 4, take 2nd right to Lisbon – Portimão (don’t go to Espanha!) onto the motorway (a22). Continue on the motorway until you reach exit 5 for Monchique / Portimão, and from there, follow signs to Monchique.
Alternative route from Faro airport to Monchique via Silves
Follow the itinerary to the motorway from the airport and exiting the motorway direction Lagoa/Silves. Follow the signs to Silves.
and on arrival, cross the bridge & then turn left along the river towards Monchique.
The big supermarket “Modelo” will be on your right on the way out of town, should you want to shop.
Follow the signs to Monchique; at t-junction Portimão left, Monchique right, turn right. |
